China International Television Corporation (CITVC) signed a one-year agreement with Portugal’s Porto Canal to broadcast China Hour in Portugal.
The weekly program will be a comprehensive Chinese content slot featuring documentaries, such as Inside China’s Biggest Gala and Mt. Huangshan, as well as popular CCTV series, like Ode To Joy. China Hour will begin broadcasting on September 18, 2018.
Jianing Shen, executive vice president of CITVC, commented, “We are extremely pleased to partner with prestigious Portuguese broadcaster, Porto Canal, to share our wonderful Chinese series and documentaries with a new audience. Portuguese viewers are sophisticated and open to viewing other culture’s programming and we believe they will embrace our country’s finest programs.”
