The 33rd annual Sundance Film Festival has begun, and former Vice President Al Gore premiered his follow-up documentary An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power. The sequel, which was directed by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk, looks at the effects of climate change in the ten years since Gore’s documentary An Inconvenient Truth. The premiere of An Inconvient Sequel is well timed with the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump, who is included in the documentary referring to climate change as low on the U.S. national agenda. Gore remarked, “Now whether or not Donald Trump, inaugurated tomorrow, will take the kind of approach that continues this progress, we’ll have to see. But let me reiterate: No one person can stop this. It’s too big now.”
