The 7th Annual NYC Independent Film Festival will take place this year April 27-May 1. The festival will screen over 200 films from around the world, in addition to networking events, panels, and seminars. The festival aims to educate young, independent filmmakers with panels on film distribution, music licensing, among others. This year, the festival has teamed up with Hostos Community College in the Bronx. Select students from the CUNY school will participate in an internship with the NYC Independent Film Festival. Members of the festival’s executive team will guest lecture at the college, and film educators from the Hostos community will share their industry experience during the event’s seminars.
