Adapta Literary Market will celebrate its seventh edition on November 9 and 10, 2026, in Valencia, Spain, with the aim of promoting the adaptation of literary works and other intellectual properties for the audiovisual industry.
Organized by Adapta Hub and the Association of Editors of the Valencian Country, the event will take place at Sala Mar, in the Veles e Vents building, as part of the Valencia Exhibition program. It will bring together authors, publishers, and audiovisual industry professionals to explore new works and projects from Adapta Lab with adaptation potential.
One of the highlights of the market will be the presentation of new works selected by authors and publishers, who will pitch their projects to professionals from the audiovisual industry.
The market will also feature a presentation of LAAB (Barcelona Audiovisual Adaptation Laboratories). LAAB is a laboratory run by the Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB) that connects the publishing and audiovisual sectors to promote the adaptation of contemporary books set in Barcelona for film and television through mentoring and professional guidance.
