Sphere Abacus, a Bell Media company, unveiled Surviving the London Nail Bombings, a true crime feature documentary for Prime Video in the U.K. and Ireland, produced by Yeti Television.
Surviving the London Nail Bombings is the account of the deadliest far-right attack on British soil after three London communities were targeted with lethal nail bombs over three successive weeks in April 1999.
The 90-minute documentary explores the three far-right terrorist attacks that devastated London, told primarily through the memories of those who were there. Using interviews, archive news reports, CCTV and images captured by a photographer who happened to be nearby. The film ultimately reframes the attacks not simply as a story of far-right hatred, but as the story of ordinary Londoners whose lives were violently interrupted — and their determination to continue living them.
The film, which will premiere later this year, is the next acquisition in the multiple true crime deal with Prime Video U.K. & Ireland.
