Calinos Entertainment has added three Turkish limited series to its slate ahead of MIPCOM 2026.
Between the World and Us — produced by MF Yapım — stars Demet Özdemir alongside Buğra Gülsoy, Hafsanur Sancaktutan, Zerrin Tekindor, Melisa Döngel and Metin Akdülger.
The story follows İlkin and Tolga, whose passionate relationship begins to fall apart when İlkin creates a fake social media profile to test her boyfriend’s loyalty. When the game moves beyond the screen, she asks an employee at her magazine to become the real-life face behind the account. Things become even more complicated with the arrival of Kenan, a former athlete with a grounded and genuine outlook.
Also joining the Calinos catalog is Runaway, a 2022 production from Same Film and O3 Medya, starring Engin Akyürek as Mehmet, a war photographer, who — together with a reporter friend and a group travelling from Germany — illegally crosses the border to visit an Ezidi village. When the village is raided by a radical terrorist organization, the group is captured and forced into a fight for survival.
Also new to the Calinos slate is crime drama The Choice, produced by OGM Pictures, starring Timuçin Esen and directed by Yağmur Taylan and Durul Taylan.
The series follows Fuat Akıncı, a successful and respected lawyer whose life changes after his daughter experiences a devastating event. Driven by revenge, Fuat begins responding to mysterious messages sent to his phone, heading down a dangerous path that will force him to confront both his past and his own sense of right and wrong.
Commenting on the acquisitions, Aslı Serim, head of Content at Calinos Entertainment, said: “These three titles bring very different stories to our catalog, each with strong production values, compelling storytelling and internationally recognized talent. We’re heading to Cannes with one of our strongest and most diverse line-ups yet, and we’re looking forward to introducing these titles to international buyers and partners at MIPCOM.”
