BossaNova Media has secured pre-sales for a new factual series fronted by Professor Alice Roberts to Channel 4 in the U.K., BBC Select in the U.S. and SBS Australia.
The Land That Made Us is produced by Tectonic Productions, an indie established by Alice Roberts and long-time collaborators Dom Bowles and Theo Williams.
Combining geology, archaeology, history and local color, the in-production series will follow Roberts as she travels the length and breadth of Britain to explore how geology and landscape have shaped communities and regional identities.
Across the six-part series, Roberts will explore the relationship between landscape and identity in some of the U.K.’s most storied locations, including Cornwall, North Wales, Fife, Derbyshire, and the Cotswolds.
