U.K. distributor Rainmaker Content has acquired the international distribution rights to the first and second season of restaurant drama Crash Course (“Casse-Gueule”), which airs on Bell Media’s streaming service Crave.
An original project from Montreal-based Duo Productions, Crash Course was part-financed by Rainmaker in collaboration with German production company Bravado Equity. Season two of the eight-part series, which rolled out in February on Crave, was commissioned soon after the airing of the first season and is currently in production, slated for delivery in spring 2027.
Quebec the province, centered around Montreal, has evolved into one of North America’s leading food destinations. This forms the competitive backdrop against which Crash Course is set. The action centers on visionary chef Clovis Lambert (Émile Schneider) as he risks everything to open his own restaurant, Crash Course (“Casse-Gueule”). The series explores the human cost of passion and ambition — and what happens when a driven chef is forced to combine the roles of father, lover, business leader and friend.
The series has recently been shortlisted for this month’s Festival de la Fiction in La Rochelle, France.
