Sky has greenlit the second chapter of their atmospheric original crime drama Under Salt Marsh from creator, writer and director Claire Oakley.
Produced by Little Door Productions in association with Sky Studios, the six-part second series sees Rafe Spall reprise his role as the enigmatic Detective Eric Bull.
Following the events of the first series, Detective Bull (Spall) moves to a remote Scottish mining village sinking under the weight of its own secrets, where a murder investigation brings him closer to the truth about his own past.
Under Salt Marsh launched in January 2026 and went on to become Sky’s biggest entertainment title of the year to date.
The second chapter of Under Salt Marsh will begin filming in Scotland in 2027 and will be available on Sky and streaming service NOW in the U.K., Ireland and Italy.
NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution will handle international sales.
