Figures about the first Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) Market have been hard to come by, but some are finally available, thanks to Charles Tremblay, TIFF’s market director, who shared VideoAge’s questions with the organization’s communications office regarding the expected number of Market attendees.

The answer was: “The former Industry Conference, which served as a precursor for the Market, attracted over 5,000 industry professionals from around the world each year. Our aim is to exceed this number with the Market.”

As for the Market’s booths and stands, the answer was more generic: “Our sales team is still actively pitching the Market, so we don’t have those final numbers at this time. We should have a better sense by the end of [August].”

TIFF: The Market is set to take place September 10-16, 2026.
