Globo announced that Anything Goes has become the highest-grossing primetime telenovela on the network.
A modern take on one of Brazil’s most iconic telenovelas, Anything Goes revolves around a mother and daughter with opposing views on how to succeed in life. The show reached a ratings record on July 7, earning a national average of 26 points, a 22% increase over the previous telenovela.
Angela Colla, head of International Business and Co-Productions at Globo, commented, “These records prove that the telenovela format remains a powerful storytelling engine, one that drives business, fosters engagement, and sparks meaningful societal conversations. The plot explores current topics that resonate with a wide range of viewers, including younger audiences and male demographics, for example. We believe that, just like in Brazil, the international market will also connect with and embrace Anything Goes.”
