The National Association of Broadcasters will induct legendary disc jockey John Records Landecker into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

The induction will take place during the Achievement in Broadcasting dinner at the 2020 NAB Show in Las Vegas. In his 50-year broadcast career, Landecker is best known for his time as the evening personality at WLS-AM Chicago, with his signature style of including satirical bits with highlights on the day’s current events.

Steve Newberry, executive vice president of Industry Affairs at NAB, commented, “John Records Landecker has had a profound impact on radio and has inspired generations of new talent. His induction into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame symbolizes the personal connection between DJs and their audiences and how innovative personalities can influence radio programming.”
