Banijay Rights, the distribution arm of Banijay Group, secured the international distribution rights to Hierro.
Co-produced by Portocabo, Atlantique Productions, and ARTE France, the Movistar+ original drama series is a crime thriller that takes place on one of the islands among the Canary Islands.
Caroline Torrance, head of Scripted, stated, “With electric storytelling and premium production values, this character-driven drama is set to be a hit with international audiences. We are really excited to work with, support and distribute the work of such acclaimed production talent.”
Hierro, the first Spanish-language drama in Banijay Rights’ catalog, will launch on Movistar+ in the first half of 2019.
