Netflix acquired the U.S. rights to three new seasons of The Great British Baking Show.
With new hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding, as well as a new judge Prue Leith, the first of the new seasons will debut on Netflix beginning August 31, 2018. The show, which previously aired in the U.K. on the BBC, moved to Channel 4.
Produced by Love Productions, the series features 12 amateur bakers who compete in a variety of challenges to become star baker. The second new season will be released later this year while the third will premiere in fall 2019.
Additionally, Netflix will roll out two-episode holiday specials for this year, in 2019, and 2020.
