Banijay Rights, the distribution arm of Banijay Group, signed a development deal with the independent production company Touchdown Films.
The first title to come out of the deal is the documentary Apollo 8: The Mission That Changed the World. Produced by Touchdown Films, the space documentary tells the story of the Apollo 8 mission through interviews with some of the key individuals involved. Banijay Rights and Touchdown Films will also develop and produce factual series in the history, crime, and celebrity genres.
Emily Elisha, head of Factual at Banijay Rights, remarked, “Working with Touchdown Films has given us a really exciting opportunity to develop programs which we believe will have broad international appeal – especially those linked to landmark events and anniversaries.”
