ITV acquired Jeremy Wade’s Mighty Rivers from Icon Films.
Originally commissioned by Animal Planet in the U.S., the six-part documentary series explores some of the largest waterways in the world, including the Ganges, the Yangtze, and the Mississippi, among others. ITV Global Entertainment distributes the series outside of the U.S. and the U.K.
Mighty Rivers is the latest program produced by Icon Films to be picked up by U.K. broadcasters. Sky Arts recently obtained ‘Sky Arts’ Passions – Judy Garland by Marc Almond, while Channel 5 ordered a sequel to Restless Legs: Can’t Stop Twitching.
