The 62nd edition of the BFI London Film Festival, organized in partnership with American Express, will feature the U.K. premiere of Peterloo, written and directed by Mike Leigh.
Distributed by Entertainment One (eOne), the historical drama depicts the events around the 1819 Peterloo Massacre, which was a defining moment in British democracy. The screening will take place at the Manchester theater HOME on October 17, 2018. eOne will release the film across the U.K. on November 2.
Tricia Tuttle, artistic director for the festival, remarked, “The Festival is thrilled to partner with Entertainment One to host this from the beautiful cinemas at HOME in the heart of Manchester where the film is set, and to take the premiere out to audiences UK-wide through the simulcast.”
