DISCOP Abidjan, which took place last week from May 28-30, 2018, saw 605 delegates representing 305 companies in attendance.
Among the attendees included 129 acquisition and programming executives from 75 public and private broadcastings, streaming platforms, and pay-TV operators. Tim Mangwedi, DISCOP Markets director for Sub-Saharan Africa, commented, “The market felt stronger than last year with more attention given to regional cooperation.”
The three-day market also saw the launch of the DISCOP Women In Media Summit. The next edition of DISCOP Abidjan will take place from May 29-31, 2019.
