RTÉ and the Irish Film Board (IFB) selected the ten projects that will receive funding as part of the combined initiative to support new Irish scripted comedy. The ten projects are BumpLifeguardsHeadcasesDadSpannersHandyIn/visibleThe South WesterliesUniversally Challenged, and The Dog House. Four of these projects will move forward in producing a broadcast pilot, after which one project will be selected as a six-part series for RTÉ. Building on the success of series such as Bridget & Eamon (pictured), which was recently sold to UKTV, these scripted comedy proposals will have the opportunity to be acquired by international distributors and broadcasters.
