DISCOP Dubai will feature 20 projects in the premiere edition of the Arab Format Accelerator (AFA). DISCOP Dubai will take place from February 25-27, 2018. The Arab Format Accelerator is a joint iniative on the part of the DISCOP Dubai organizers and Khulud Abu Homos, CEO of the Arab Format Lab. The two-day AFA initiative will offer 20 creators and producers the opportunity to pitch their original ideas for scripted and unscripted TV programs across genres. The judges for the initiative are Fadi Ismail, director of Group Drama, O3 Productions/MBC Group; Yahya Sameh, CEO of PromOmedia; Justus Verkerk, CEO of FCCE; Jan Salling, CEO of Missing Link Media and co-chairman of FRAPA; and Mai El Khalifa, head of Production and Business Development senior manager at Dubai TV.
