AMC Networks International – UK (AMCNI UK) appointed Alina Florea and Sam Rowden to newly created positions. Florea will assume the role of director of Acquisitions and Content Partnerships where she will oversee content acquisitions across the company’s portfolio of 10 brands. She joined AMCNI UK in 2000. Rowden, as director of Programming, of CBS Channels, will hold full responsibility for the programming strategy across the CBS channel portfolio across the UK and EMEA. Rowden joined in 2007.
420TV named Douglas A. Lee as its general manager. In his new position, Lee will oversee the channel’s key divisions. In Lee’s previous positions outside of 420TV, he conceived and launched MGM HD, created pay-TV service Epix, and lead News Corp’s acquisition of Star-TV, among other achievements.
