The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) appointed NHK president Ryoichi Ueda to serve a three-year term as ABU vice president. The General Assembly of the ABU took place from November 3-4 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. ABU consists of over 270 member broadcasters across 72 countries. Its current president is KBS-Korea president and CEO, Ko Dae-young.
Guy Sheppard was hired as head of Business Affairs of ABC Studios International (ABCSI). Sheppard has previously served as senior vice president of Business, Commercial and Legal Affairs at NBCUniversal International Studios. In his new post based in London, Sheppard will oversee business affairs and deal-making functions of ABCSI.
