RTÉ unveiled the first project developed from its co-production deal with European broadcasterARTE, as well as its first co-production with American Public Television (APT). The project,Countdown to Calvary, is a documentary for Easter 2018. Hosted by Hugh Bonneville, the documentary follows Bonneville’s travel to Jerusalem to explore the story of Jesus’ last six days of life. APT will hold the U.S. public broadcasting rights and distribute the documentary as Jesus – Countdown to Calvary. Outside of the U.S., RTÉ will distribute the documentary, which will launch at MIPCOM 2017.
