Gaumont signed a first-look deal with Christopher McQuarrie and his producing partner Heather McQuarrie. As part of the agreement, McQuarrie will write, direct, and producer scripted drama projects for the Paris-based studio. Under this deal, the first project in development is STL (working title), a drama series adaptation of Gaumont’s 36 Quai des Orfèvres, a feature film about a criminal underground and the splits between officers part of the Criminal Investigations Division. Both Chris and Heather McQuarrie will serve as executive producers while Chris will serve as director.
