The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences revealed the 2017 International Emmy Awards nominees for the News & Current Affairs categories. The four nominees for News are Inside Aleppo – Battle for Aleppo, Jornal Nacional’s The Ryan Lochte Scandal, Le Journal for its coverage of the Republican National Convention, and ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol – Super Typhoon Lawin’s Trail of Damage. The Current Affairs nominees are 101 East’s Rodrigo Duterte: A President’s Report Card, Exposure: Saudi Arabia Uncovered, Globo Repórter’s Art as Passport, and Uppdrag granskning: Panamadokumenten about the Panama Papers. The nominees span six countries. The winners will be announced on October 5 at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
