Kino Lorber announced that the U.S. theatrical premiere for Machines, the debut film of Rahul Jain, will be August 9 at New York City’s Film Forum. The film was selected as the winner of the Special Jury Award for Cinematography at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Machines is a documentary of the daily life of workers at an Indian textile factory, depicting the beauty of the fabric contrasted against the harsh working conditions for factory workers. The film will have an expanded theatrical release in September.
