Following the U.S. premiere of L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables in 2016, Breakthrough Entertainment has closed a deal with PBS for the American public broadcaster to air the trilogy’s second and third films, The Good Stars and Fire & Dew, respectively. The Good Stars was written and directed by John Kent Harrison; while Fire & Dew was written by Susan Coyne and directed by Harrison. The trilogy, based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables, follows the orphan Anne Shirley (played by Ella Ballentine) as she is taken into household of siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert.
