Executive produced and directed by John Singleton, the new series Rebel will premiere at RioContentMarket on March 7, at the Hotel Windsor Barra in Rio de Janeiro. The series is scheduled to air on Black Entertainment Television (BET) on March 28. Set in Oakland, California, Rebel follows a police officer who left the force and became a private investigator to continue to fight crime. The series stars Danielle Moné Truitt as the lead Rebel, with a cast that includes Giancarlo Esposito, Mykelti Williamson, LaTanya Richardson, and Brandon Quinn, among others.
