King are featured, with Kevin Bacon as the host. The film explores the instrument’s influence on artists, everyday players, pop culture, history, and politics. TURN IT UP! follows the history of the electric guitar: from its invention in the 1930s to its golden years, and imagines the digital guitars of the future.
