Zodiak Rights, part of the Banijay Group, and Arise Pictures have released information about the first scripted series under their first look finance and distribution deal called The Cleaners. The action thriller series, which comes from Arise Pictures’ writer and creator David Raymond, is set in the adrenaline-filled world international money laundering. In the series, the CIA works with a group of money launderers who bring money out of the Middle East to facilitate regime change in the region. Caroline Torrance, head of Scripted at Zodiak said, “This new drama could not be more topical after the recent leak of the ‘Panama Papers’, highlighting how and where Heads of State hide their money around the world.”
