Bogotá Content City is set to become Colombia’s largest content production hub, bringing together industry, talent, and training in a single complex.
Spain’s Secuoya Content Group will manage the project, which will be developed in Cota, Cundinamarca, north of Bogotá, with an investment of more than $30 million.
The complex will host a significant portion of the content Secuoya Studios plans to produce in Latin America. Over the next five years, Secuoya Content Group expects to manage $300 million in productions. Its facilities will also be available to other production companies, platforms, and domestic and international operators, with the aim of expanding Colombia’s capacity to attract and accommodate large-scale audiovisual projects.
The initiative was presented by Raúl Berdonés, president of Secuoya Content Group, to Colombia’s Vice President, José Manuel Restrepo; Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mauricio Gómez Amín; and Colombia’s Ambassador to the European Union, Juan Gonzalo Ospina (all pictured).
