U.S.-based microdrama platform Inkitt CandyJar has partnered with RTL+ to introduce German-speaking audiences to Inkitt’s vertical short-form drama offering.
RTL+ viewers can access Inkitt’s short-form romance series inside the RTL+ app. The first episodes of selected series will be available to watch on RTL+, with viewers then able to continue the stories in the Inkitt app. RTL+ users who continue their viewing experience on Inkitt CandyJar get 50 free coins to unlock another episode.
The line-up includes titles such as Fight Dirty, The Arrangement, Life Is Not a Game, Loving My Brother’s Best Friend and His Nerd.
Inkitt is a franchise engine that discovers audience-validated content. Writers submit stories on the free Inkitt app, where an AI model analyzes the reading behavior of millions of readers to identify breakout stories. The winners get developed into IP across formats: Inkitt Galatea for premium serialized fiction and audio and Inkitt CandyJar for vertical short-form drama.
This is Inkitt CandyJar’s first major European media partnership.
