Inter Medya’s feature film Ancient Blue (Kadim Mavi), directed by Emir Ziyalar and co-written with Doruk Kumkumoğlu, has been officially selected for the National Feature Film Competition at the 63rd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival (October 24-31, 2026).
The movie marks Ziyalar’s feature directorial debut. Featuring an ensemble cast led by Umut Aksoy alongside Tülin Özen, Barış Kolik, Yaşar Karakulak, Öykü Su Okur, Musa Öztep, and Bilgi Nur Aydoğmuş, the film follows Kenan Yelkıran (Umut Aksoy), a solitary fisherman whose boat is seized due to debts. After vanishing in a fatal storm, Kenan washes ashore two months later with no memory of the elapsed time.
Murat Emkuzhev’s cinematography — blending digital color with 35mm black-and-white footage and shifting aspect ratios — Ancient Blue weaves universal themes of ancient sibling conflict and mythology, with classic expressionist influence and psychological landscapes.
The winners will be revealed during the festival’s official closing ceremony October 31.
