The Canary Islands International Film Market (CIIF) kicked off its 22nd edition yesterday with Tenerife Networking, a one-day event organized in collaboration with the Tenerife Film Commission.

The first day featured a welcome address by Guillermo Ríos, director of the CIIF Market, and the conference “VFX in the Canary Islands: Talent, Industry, and Internationalization,” which brought together Ignacio Caicoya, founder and CEO of Flaming Frames; Rubén Román Sevillano, executive director of 22 Dogs; Jonathan Monroig, CEO of Blurr Rojo; and Ricardo Martínez, director of the Tenerife Film Commission, with Olga Martín Pascual, managing director of the Tenerife Science and Technology Park (INtech Tenerife), serving as moderator.

The Tenerife Networking event was rounded out with a trip to various locations across Tenerife, designed to showcase the island’s new filming locations and spaces to the invited professionals.

CIIF Market — running October 26-30, 2026, at Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey Hotel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain — is organized by Festeam, Comunicación y Eventos, and is sponsored by the Tenerife Island Council, the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and the Government of the Canary Islands.
