Microsoft’s Xbox is forming XP, a new division focused on expanding its video game business into areas such as film and television. For example, Fallout, an Xbox-owned franchise, has been a hit on Amazon Prime Video and has been renewed for a third season.

The new XP division will be led by Kayleen Walters, the former president of Xbox’s Mojang unit, which houses the Minecraft franchise.

Succeeding Walters at Mojang will be Maria Angelidou-Smith, Reddit’s former chief product officer and a former Facebook executive.

Reportedly, Asha Sharma, who was promoted to Xbox CEO in February, expects the company to achieve double-digit profit margins this fiscal year and reach one billion people daily.
