Content Partners and Radial Entertainment have unveiled 20 new episodes of true crime series Forensic Files.
The companies will jointly finance the new season and share oversight of production, with Radial handling worldwide distribution. ITV America, part of ITV Studios, will produce the episodes.
“Forensic Files helped define true crime television, and its focus on science and evidence continues to resonate with one of the most loyal audiences in the genre,” said David Buoymaster, chief investment officer at Radial Entertainment. “Working with Content Partners to create new episodes is a natural next step in our relationship and an opportunity to build on the series’ legacy.”
Content Partners acquired the Forensic Files catalog of 400 episodes across 14 seasons in 2024 and has since brought the series to new audiences through licensing and adaptation. Radial has been expanding its own originals slate using viewership data from its distribution business to identify catalog titles worth new production. The new season brings those two tracks together.
David Buoymaster, Cristina Guggino, and Katie Carroll are executive producers for Radial Entertainment, with Steve Kram, Scott Hemming and John Mass serving as executive producers for Content Partners. For ITV America, Shawn Witt, Jordana Hochman and Sumit David are the executive producers.
In other Radial news, true crime Radial Original series Making a Serial Killer has been renewed for a third season.
Produced in partnership with the U.K.’s FirstLookStudios, Radial has secured exclusive rights in all media for Making a Serial Killer season 3, across the U.K., Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The new season is set to premiere this December.
