The Greek adaptation of Nippon TV’s drama series Woman – My Life for My Children is set to premiere on Alpha TV and stream on Alpha TV’s HbbTV platform beginning October 7, 2026.
The upcoming Greek series, titled Mia Gyneka (“A Woman”), tells the story of a single mother’s unconditional love for her children as she struggles to make ends meet in a harsh reality.
The new adaptation on Alpha TV follows the previous Greek adaptation of Nippon TV’s award-winning format Mother, titled Na me les mama (“Call Me Mom”).
The scripted format of Woman has already been successfully adapted in several major international markets, including Turkey, where Kadin — produced by Medyapim in 2017 — ran for three full seasons and was distributed in more than 60 countries. In 2025, the Arabic adaptation Salma, also produced by Medyapim, premiered on MBC1 and the Shahid streaming platform.
