• A+E Global Media has named Chris Stewart vice president Content Sales, overseeing content sales across the U.K., Ireland and Germany. He reports to Patrick Vien, Group managing director, International, A+E Global Media.
Stewart joins A+E from Banijay Rights, where he most recently served as SVP, U.K. & Eire, and prior to that, as Commercial director, Scripted. Before joining Banijay, he was head of Drama at BBC Worldwide. He will be based in the UK.
• Banijay Entertainment confirms its newly combined structure across the Americas, with Ben Samek named CEO of Banijay America following the recent merger with All3Media. He will report to Jane Turton, Deputy CEO, Banijay Entertainment.
Alongside its combined production company portfolio, Banijay America will now house Turnkey Studio Services, a centralized production services business led by Justin Medeiros as EVP of Production and Jacob Cohen-Holmes as head of Current Programming. Having previously led a similar operation within All3Media America, the pair will provide ongoing production support and studio services for Banijay Entertainment’s stable of producers.
