India-based One Life Studios has licensed epic drama series Suryaputra Karn and Devi Adi Parashakti to Narativ Media in Germany, through One Life’a association with OMNIterra.
Additionally, series Chandragupta Maurya has been licensed to India’s Laxmi TV Gujarati for a localized Gujarati-language version.
Suryaputra Karn retells the epic Mahabharata from the perspective of Karna, the son of the Sun God. The series explores the struggles of one of India’s most complex and often misunderstood heroes.
Devi Adi Parashakti (The Supreme Power) follows the clashes of ego among the Hindu trinity of gods threatening the balance of the cosmos. To restore harmony, Devi — the timeless formless divine energy — imparts powerful lessons to gods’ demons and humanity revealing the enduring strength and wisdom of the divine feminine.
Chandragupta Maurya, set in 320 BC, follows a young boy born a prince but raised as a slave, whose destiny is to change the course of Indian history. Guided by the brilliant strategist Chanakya Chandragupta, he unites fragmented kingdoms and establishes the mighty Maurya Empire.
Chandragupta Maurya and Suryaputra Karn were created, written and directed by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, founder and CEO of One Life Studios. Tewary was recently named a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
