Sphere Abacus has acquired worldwide distribution rights for Kubrick’s War: The Making of Full Metal Jacket, produced in the U.K. by NorthSouth Film Company, in association with producers Matthew Modine and Adam Rackoff’s U.S.-based production company Cinco Dedos Peliculas and Supercloud Studios.
The 125-minute feature-length documentary explores the making of Stanley Kubrick’s landmark Vietnam War film. The film, which was filmed in London, New York and Los Angeles, is directed by Stephen Rigg (Kubrick’s Universe) and produced and written by Hank Starrs (RoboDoc) and Stephen Rigg.
The documentary tells the extraordinary story behind a production defined by innovation, conflict and artistic brilliance.
