Warner Bros. Discovery and Doğuş Media Group have entered into a strategic partnership to co-finance and co-broadcast Turkish scripted series.
Under the agreement, Doğuş Media will broadcast the series on free-to-air linear television, with Star TV serving as its broadcast home in Turkey. Warner Bros. Discovery will make the series available locally and internationally on HBO Max.
The first project under the deal is Tuzlu Kahve (Salted Love), a romantic comedy-drama produced by Poll Films. The series premiered on Star TV in Turkey and was available exclusively on HBO Max in Turkey 24 hours after each television broadcast.
In addition to its digital rights, Warner Bros. Discovery will broadcast the series in a second window on its linear television channels in Italy, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.
