For the third consecutive year, Buenos Aires hosted a semifinal round of the International Emmy Awards, organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, as part of the selection process for the content that will compete in the next edition of the awards.
The event — organized by the Buenos Aires Film Commission (BAFC) — took place on August 21 in Buenos Aires and brought together 13 professionals from the Argentine audiovisual industry, selected by the Academy to serve on the jury.
The jury was composed of: Anouk Aaron, head of Content Production LatAm at Warner Bros. Discovery; Alejandro Cacetta, executive producer and co-founder of FAM Contenidos; Gastón Cami, producer and distribution/co-production executive; Silvana D’Angelo, CEO and co-founder of Glowstar Media; actor Gabriel “Puma” Goity; director/producer/screenwriter Maximiliano Gutiérrez; Manuel Martí, executive producer; Dolores Montaño, audiovisual producer; Diego Palacio, founder and CCO of StoryLab; Federico Posternak, CEO and head of Kenya Films; Sandra Rojas, founder and CEO of PAN Contenidos; Agustín Sacanell, founder and CEO of Kapow; Luis Scalella, president of Argentina Sono Film.
The Awards will be bestowed during the International Emmy Gala that will take place on November 23, 2026, in New York City.
