Blink49 Studios and Bell Media entered new deals with entertainer Lilly Singh and her company Unicorn Island Productions.
Singh is an industry multi-hyphenate – entertainer, actress, producer, writer, creator, and author. This year, she starred in the cast for action-comedy The Bad Guys and launched her own book club, Lilly’s Library. She will headline the forthcoming Disney+ comedy series The Muppets Mayhem.
Blink49 Studios, Bell Media, and Singh signed a first-look global scripted deal and a second-look unscripted deal. The partnership will focus on creating and producing television content highlighting underrepresented communities.
Singh commented, “I am thrilled to be collaborating with Blink49 Studios and Bell Media since they are likeminded champions of underrepresented voices. With their support, I’m looking forward to bringing compelling and inclusive stories to audiences around the world.”
