Abacus Media Rights (AMR) picked up the international distribution rights to CBC original comedy series Sort Of.
Produced by Sienna Films, Sort Of revolves around Sabi Mehboob, a gender fluid millennial straddling various identities. Written by executive producers Bilal Baig and Fab Filippo, the coming-of-age series was produced with the participation of the Canada Media Fund. Baig stars in the lead role, with a cast that includes Gray Powell, Amanda Cordner, Ellora Patnaik, and Grace Lynn Kung, among others. The series was directed by Filippo and Renuka Jeyapalan.

It’s a pleasure to be working with Sienna Films again, and to be representing a new, thought-provoking comedy that has a real relevance to our world today – addressing the lives of young adults as they struggle with the complexities of gender and diversity.”
