About Premium Content (APC) scored a round of sales for Operation Buffalo.
AMC’s Acorn TV acquired rights to Operation Buffalo for the U.K. and Eire. The Australian drama series has also been secured by UPC in Switzerland, RTP in Portugal, NRK TV in Norway, and Viasat World for Central and Eastern European territories. APC handles worldwide distribution.
Produced by Porchlight Films’ Vincent Sheehan and Tanya Phegan, Operation Buffalo follows Major Leo Carmichael, an Australian Army engineer and WWII hero. While he keeps a top-secret nuclear base running smoothly, he must contend with a commanding officer who is unfit for the job, a new meteorologist who asks too many questions, a slew of leaks to the press, and the government watching their every move. The series originally premiered on ABC Australia earlier in the year.
Laurent Boissel and Emmanuelle Guilbart, joint-CEOs and co-founders at APC, stated, “Operation Buffalo was a huge ratings success when it premiered in Australia in May and we are thrilled that broadcasters are now picking up the series in some key territories. We look forward to bringing the series to new international audiences and securing further deals for this highly entertaining spy thriller.”
