India’s Disney+ Hotstar ordered 234 episodes of Cosmos-Maya‘s animated series Selfie With Bajrangi.
As part of the multi-season deal, Cosmos-Maya will produce three seasons of the series for Disney+ Hotstar. The launch of Selfie With Bajrangi on the streaming platform coincides with the rollout of Disney+ in India. The animated series has been airing on Disney India’s pay-TV properties since 2018, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Selfie With Bajrangi follows Ankush as he meets Bajrangi, the child version of the Indian god Hanuman. The two solve day-to-day problems and face the adversity that life throws at them.
Anish Mehta, CEO of Cosmos-Maya, commented, “Bajrangi has brought together Disney+ Hotstar and Cosmos-Maya for a multi-season contract and we couldn’t be more excited. An unheard of 234 half-hours of the show spread across three seasons will be aired on Disney+ Hotstar, with Season 2 already live on the platform.”
