The Venice International Film Festival announced two new collateral awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) Award and the Fundación Casa Wabi – Mantarraya Award.
The HFPA Award will be presented to three filmmakers from the Orizzonti category awarded for Best Film, Best Director, and the Special Prize Jury. The three filmmakers will also attend a three-week long residency program in Los Angeles, from January 2-23, 2019.
The Fundación Casa Wabi – Mantarraya prize will be given to the winner of the Award for a Debut Film. The prize consists of a month-and-a-half residency at Casa Wabi.
