Armoza Formats licensed the local rights for its factual entertainment format, The Surprise Teacher, to Banijay Productions France and Spain’s Verte, owned by Atresmedia.

Produced by Palomar Productions, each episode of The Surprise Teacher features one celebrity who will surprise a class of high school students to provide a once-in-a-lifetime lesson. The original Italian adaptation, titled Il Supplente, broadcasted weekly on RAI2.
