Tele München Group (TMG) partnered with AMC Networks’ SundanceTV and Sundance Now for The Name of the Rose.
Produced by 11 Marzo Film, Palomar and TMG in co-production with Sundance TV, and in association with RAI Fiction, the television event will launch in 2019 on RAI in Italy and SundanceTV in the U.S. Additionally, the series will stream on Sundance Now in the U.S. and Canada. The Name of the Rosefollows the Franciscan monk William of Baskerville and his apprentice as they witness a series of murders at a secluded monastery in the Alps. The two investigate the killer while they are also hunted by the inquisitor Bernard Gui.
TM International handles the worldwide distribution for the series.
