Netflix ordered the animated series The Last Kids On Earth. Thunderbird Entertainment‘s animation studio Atomic Cartoons began production on the series yesterday. Based on Max Brallier’s book series, the animated adventure-comedy follows Jack Sullivan and his friends who live in a tree house and battle zombies in the monster apocalypse. Scott Peterson will serve as showrunner, while Brallier, Jennifer McCarron, and Matthew Berkowitz will serve as executive producers. The next installment of Brallier’s book series is The Last Kids On Earth and the Cosmic Beyond. The animated series will be available on Netflix around the world in 2019.
